Apex Countertop Drinking Water Filter:
The Apex Alkaline Countertop Drinking Water Filter uses a 5 stage filter, to remove impurities that impact the color, taste and safety of drinking water. The Brondell H20+ Countertop Water Filter is the largest countertop water filter we are reviewing, but it’s sleek, compact design doesn’t take up much more countertop space and it has several features which make it a worthy contender. While all of the other countertop water filters we are reviewing, uses a single filter, the Brondell H20+ actually uses three separate filters. Each of the filters is installed in the unit, and help to remove contaminants from your water and any remaining odors. The filters include a carbon block filter, nanotrap filter and composite plus filter. If you compare this system to the others, you will notice that many of the features with the Brondell are only found on top of the line under the sink water filtration systems.
The system can remove industrial chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, turbidity, volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), microorganisms, and bad tastes and odors. As well as heavy metals, cholorine taste and odor and a number of other particles from your water supply.
The system can be installed in under 10 minutes, using the included adapters and once installed your water goes through three separate stages of filtration. The first sage is a composite plus filter, which helps to remove the large particles, such as sand, rust and fine particles. After it is complete with the 2-step composite plus filtration, your water goes thorough the second stage of filtration, which is accomplished by the nanotrap filter. Zen 4 Gallon Countertop Water Filter:
The Zen 4 Gallon Countertop Water Filter is a little unique in the sense that you don’t have to hook it up to your tap for it to operate. The fact that it doesn’t require a faucet connection, makes it ideal for homeowners that have pull out faucets or who want a portable water filtration system that they can take with them to a vacation home or camping. The system has five different benefits, it filters, purifies, alkalizes, mineralizes and magnetize’s your water.
The system can treat up to 1000 gallons and the ceramic filter needs to be changed about once every year. The five stage filter can treat up to 500 gallons and needs to be replaced every 6 months and the stones don’t need to be replaced until 2-3 years.
The real main downside of the system is the fact that it takes up quite a bit more countertop space and you do have to take off the lid to add water to the system. However, given the fact that it’s fairly affordable, has a five stage carbon filter which removes heavy metals, chlorine and other contaminants from your water supply. In addition, to having a Micro-ceramic filter which removes up to 99% of bacteria, parasites, VOCs, pestacides and toxins from your water. The MOJO Water Mini2 Countertop Instant Hot & Cold Water Filtration System is the most expensive countertop water filtration system we have reviewed and it takes the longest to install, but there is good reason for it. The MOJO Mini2 is a countertop water filtration system, that is designed to mimic a traditional Culligan or Hinckley Spring Water cooler. At a push of the button you can have instant hot or cold water, great for a glass of tea or cold class of water.
The system can purify up to 1200 gallon water before needing to be replaced, and the filters are very affordable. The big block filter can remove chlorine, lead, cysts, bad taste and odors from your water. The system does need to be connected under your sink or to a nearby water line, however they provide up to 30 feet of water line and you can purchase longer lengths.
If you are looking for a water filtration system that can provide both instant hot and cold water, this is the water filtration system for you. It is not much bigger than a coffee pot and is great for homeowners as well as offices.
